“And He himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists and some pastors and teachers” Eph  4:11 (NKJV)

The concept of “Apostle” and the existence of them have been around for thousands of years. It is nothing new, imagined or made up – but an office held in the Kingdom of God governed by a certain type of grace.  Just as a pastor, prophet or teacher has a peculiar grace that is recognised in the global church, so too does an Apostle as highlighted most prominently in ACTS. One definition of an Apostle given is “a man called as a special witness of Christ; an office in the Melchizedek Priesthood”. In summary he is a pioneer, a sent one, a divinely commissioned messenger of salvation and the Kingdom of God. He has been appointed a people to lead and provide current revelation to. He is a path cutter, frequently breaking through so God’s people can break out.

Often referred to as the Set Man or Spiritual father of the house, an apostolic house knows how to submit to an apostolic grace. The grace of an Apostle is not limited geographically, and often propels the man of God to minister globally.
